Objective:
To contribute to the efficient/effective operation of Miratec Systems’ manufacturing department, we are looking to add a Production Lead.
This working Production Lead will be responsible for their team's output with respect to the assembly of graphics; including printing, laminating, trimming, seaming, cutting, graphic application and packaging.
Responsibilities:
- Lead your manufacturing team to accomplish assigned objectives in the most efficient and effective manner possible. Includes, but is not limited to, coordinating daily production staff and activities, identify and assign priorities, training, development, human resource recruitment, team motivation and supervision, all in a manner consistent with company policies.
- Direct manufacturing staff to ensure orders are shipped complete and on-time without incurring additional costs (i.e. overtime, expedited deliveries, or accelerated shipping).
- Communicate daily production status against targets including first time yield, finished goods levels, safety issues, labor and material shortages and action plans to correct/improve items below goal.
- Support new production processes and productivity improvements with the objective of maintaining/reducing manufacturing cost as a percent of sales.
- Help identify any potential process, equipment, material or timing opportunities / issues that could impact the manufacturing process, the quality of our product, or the ability to meet established guaranteed ship dates.
- Continuously and relentlessly strive to improve the quality of Miratec Systems' products and services by use of a Lean continuous improvement model, assure conformance to specification and minimize process and product variability.
- With the support of Operations leadership, participate as a member of the Manufacturing Quality Team, and actively participate in the identification of quality issues, recommendation of corrective actions, and implementation of new or revised control methods and procedures.
- Perform other functions as needed to facilitate production objectives, quality initiatives, customer priority shipments, corporate policies and regulatory conformance.
- Fully support other corporate objectives and/or projects that may arise or be assigned in a manner consistent with this position as a key member of the company’s manufacturing support team.

- 5 year min. experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment in a Quality or Manufacturing role.
- 2 years min. experience in supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
- Experience documenting manufacturing processes and training manuals.
- Experience to train, cross-train and support manufacturing personnel. Strong ability to mentor, motivate and persuade others. Must be capable to lead and facilitate teams with a take-charge initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to offer creative solutions to technical problems and procedural issues.
- Enjoys working in a team environment and is able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines/deliverables.
- Ability to lift 50 LBS. and stand for prolonged periods.
