A Gas Utility Foreman’s responsibilities include supervising and coordinating the activities of workers and equipment while installing gas facilities and civil infrastructure. Foremen must demonstrate strong leadership abilities, integrity, job planning skills, a safety-first mindset, and extensive knowledge of utility construction. Responsibilities
- Supervisor small to large construction projects start to finish
- Manage resources in a safe manner in compliance with industry standards
- Budget project’s material and resources through length of projects
- Delegate work to crew members to ensure productivity
- Train workers to promote career growth
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate Safe practices by leading by example
- Accurately complete paperwork, reports, and status updates on time
- Oversee Dig Safe markings and coordinate any issues with utilities
- Maintain positive working relationships internally and with external constituents
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
· Prior experience in gas utility industry
· Commitment to doing quality work while putting safety first
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Commitment to performing quality work with a strong focus on safety
· Ability to work collaboratively with others
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently
· NGA Operator Qualifications Highly Desired
Requirements
· NGA Operator Qualifications Highly Desired
· Valid Driver's license
· Ability to pass pre- and post-employment DOT drug screenings
· Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
· Ability to obtain satisfactory results of a background check
