Responsibilities
- Perform hand digging with a shovel to locate existing utilities.
- Obtain and maintain Gas Operator Qualifications.
- Use various hand and power tools throughout different projects
- Conduct tool and vehicle maintenance
- Fuel equipment - with proper fuel
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Train workers to promote career growth
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Demonstrate Safe practices by leading by example
- Maintain positive working relationships internally and external
Education, Skills, Experience Needed
· Prior experience in gas utility industry highly desired
· Commitment to performing quality work with a strong focus on safety
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work collaboratively with others
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently
· NGA Operator Qualifications Highly Desired
Requirements
· Valid Driver’s license required
· Ability to pass and maintain Operator Qualifications as assigned
· Ability to pass pre- and post-employment DOT drug screenings
· Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
· Ability to obtain satisfactory results of a background check
· Ability to Lift 50lbs independently
· Hand digging as required
· Work outdoors in all weather conditions
