Current job opportunities are posted here as they become available.Department : Managed Services Client - Stepping Stone SDLocation : San DiegoOpportunity Type : Managed Services ClientPosition Title : Residential SUD (Substance Use Disorder) CounselorDepartment : Residential ServicesReport to : Lead CounselorSalary Range : $24.00 – 28.50 per hourType : Full Time, Non-ExemptPosition Summary Stepping Stone of San Diego is a non-profit that specializes in the LGBTQ addiction recovery, mental health and housing programs. Our Residential Program is an in-patient recovery program with 31 beds, and a team of counselors, peer support, mental health and wrap-around services.SUD Counselors interact with our residents on a day-to-day basis providing both individual and group counseling, as well as engaging in rehabilitation activities. In this position you’ll work alongside other SUD Counselors and have access to our Lead Counselors for guidance and support. You will be expected to support residents through quality SUD counseling, as well as the completion of all required documentation.Essential Functions Manage a caseload of up to 5-6 residents, meeting with them a minimum of once a week.Facilitate both individual and group SUD counseling sessions in a residential setting weekly.Conduct SUD assessments for residents, including the regular completion of residential problem lists (formerly known as treatment plans).Document, review, and chart progress of residents and complete required paperwork on time.Administer daily Med Calls.Help resolve interpersonal issues between and among residents.Comply with all CalAIMS documentation requirements for ODS-DMC programs.Conduct and document resident drug screens.Transport residents to and from medical appointments, sober support meetings, and life enrichment activities.Review, approve, and document resident requests for allowable off-site activities.Report issues that endanger the safety or wellbeing of residents or colleagues to the Director Of Programs.Attend all internal meetings, and complete all trainings as required in a residential setting.Oversee and maintain all confidentiality and privacy standards for protected health information and other information and materials in accordance with agency policies and procedures, and applicable regulations and laws according to HIPAA.Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to all DMC standards and agency policies.Other duties as assigned or necessary to support the program, office and / or the agency.Minimum Qualifications Maintain active registration through CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP with completion and certification within 5 years of hire.Assure timely renewal of registration.Current CPR / First Aid Certification (or within 90 days of hire).ASAM Training (or within 10 days of hire).Cultural competency and understanding working in the social determinants of health impacting LGBTQI communities.Ability to work independently and in a group setting.Ability to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities within a residential setting.Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner according to program expectations.Ability to meet deadlines with documentation according to state, county, and program expectations.Ability to work flexible hours - days, nights, and weekends as needed for a residential setting.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Preferred Qualifications 1 to 2 years’ experience serving residents in a human services setting.Previous experience working in an SUD residential program setting.Experience with Smartcare and / or other forms of electronic health records.Experience with Optum – SUDPOH county forms used for SUD documentation.Written and spoken bilingual fluency in Spanish and English.Environmental Factors and Conditions / Physical Requirements While primarily working indoors, counselors also work with residents outdoors.Regularly lift 15 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.Holiday, evening, and weekend work may be required.Transporting residents to and from activities and or appointments.Benefits Package Health Premiums company paid, including Acupuncture and Chiropractic.Dental & Vision company paid.Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care & Dependent Care).Generous paid time off – sick & vacation.403(b) Retirement Employer Match up to 5%.Life / AD&D Insurance company paid.Long Term Disability Insurance company paid.#J-18808-Ljbffr
