Hours: Monday ? Friday, 9:30 am ? 5:30 pm; however, expected to work outside of regularly scheduled hours, especially during campaigns, events and fundraisers
Pay: $45,000-$54,000 annually

Position Summary
The ideal Grants and Development Coordinator will have at least 2 years? experience in a similar role. Bachelor?s degree in a relevant field is preferred, but experience may substitute for the right candidate. This position will be exempt, with mostly on-site responsibilities, but work from home will be allowed on an occasional basis with pre-approval from the Executive Director. Hours may vary, and candidate will be expected to work extra hours during peak performance times of the year and special campaigns. Knowledge of the current grants, fundraising climate, and overall knowledge of Jacksonville and the Beaches communities is highly desired. The Grants and Development Coordinator will work within the description provided, while also adept at transitioning to other ?normal duties? on a regular basis.
Position Responsibilities
New Grants Acquisition (40%):
- Continually seek new funding opportunities for the agency, writing new proposals to be submitted in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with agency directors to ensure new funding proposals are relevant, achievable and mission focused.
- Seek partnerships with other mission aligned agencies to draft joint proposals for the betterment of Mission House, our programs and the Beaches area at large.
Grants Management (40%):
- Maintain all current grants at current or increased funding levels, while exploring new avenues of revenue from grant funding. Ensure all grant requirements and deadlines are met for current grant funding.
- Work with the Director of Operations to build and submit all fiscal grant reports as required by grantors.
- Coordinate with agency directors to draft and submit all programmatic grant reports as required by agency funders.
- Work with grantors to make sure all fiscal, programmatic and other reports are submitted in an accurate and timely fashion.
Other Development (10%):
- In conjunction with the Event and Development Coordinator and Executive team responsible for helping to raise the funding amount, as set by the Board of Directors, through grants, fundraising, and general development, to ensure seamless services for the agency (current agency budget: ~$1.2 million).
- Secure donations from community donors, corporations and foundations, including building and tracking proposals and reports necessary for corporate giving.
- In conjunction with the executive team, build a strong monthly giving campaign, as well as ensure a large base of annual individual donors.
- Participate in fundraising events as needed.
- Assist with Annual Appeal and Holiday Ask Campaign formulation.
- prior experience working with CRM highly desired.
Community Relations (10%):
- In conjunction with the executive team, represent Mission House in the community at social events and functions.
- Build and strengthen relationships with agency donors, while soliciting new donors to the Mission House cause.
