The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for managing and processing customer orders with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring compliance with company policies. The Sales Support Specialist will oversee the entire customer order process from notification of a sales order to the delivery of goods. They will ensure accurate order entry, timely fulfillment, and customer satisfaction by collaborating with various departments like sales, planners, production, and shipping while resolving any order-related issues that may arise. This role requires close collaboration to resolve order issues, improve processes, and enhance the customer experience
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Receiving and accurately entering customer orders into the system, verifying pricing, product availability, and shipping details.
- Order Validation: Checking for potential errors in orders, such as incorrect quantities, addresses, or product specifications, and resolving discrepancies with customers or sales team.
- Order Tracking: Monitoring order status throughout the fulfillment process, providing updates to customers on delivery timelines.
- Inventory Management: Coordinating with the warehouse team to ensure sufficient inventory levels to meet order demands.
- Customer Communication: Responding to customer inquiries regarding order status, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaboration with Sales Team: Working closely with sales representatives to ensure accurate order information is captured and customer needs are met.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generating sales order reports to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing strategies to streamline the order management process, increase efficiency, and reduce errors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Communications, Business, or a relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years in a Sales Support Specialist (or equivalent role) in a similar regulated industry (Avionics, Aerospace, Defense, etc.)
- Basic understanding of RF and microwave technologies and their applications in satellite communications is a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact with customers and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001 and AS9100 controls and regulations
- Proficient user of MRP systems; MAS90/Sage, SAP, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of database management systems; Omnify or equivalent
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and CRM software

Compensation And Benefits
The hourly range estimated for this position based in California is $30 - $35 an hour.
