HR PAYROLL COORDINATOR
Group/Class: Group III, Hourly/Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00/hr
Reports To: Accounting Director
Status: Part-Time

HR PAYROLL COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY:
This position, under the Accounting Director's supervision, is responsible for managing recruitment, onboarding, payroll, employee relations, compliance, and benefits. Key duties include partnering with managers on staffing, overseeing the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment laws, managing payroll and benefits, and supporting employee engagement initiatives. The role also involves training development, injury reporting, and maintaining accurate documentation. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, experience in HR functions, and familiarity with HRIS tools like Paycom. Strong communication, organizational skills, and discretion are essential.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:
- Recruitment & Hiring:
- Partner with department managers to understand staffing needs, help develop job descriptions, and create job postings in Paycom.
- Helping with annual job fair in October
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle through Paycom (our HRIS tool), including reviewing applications, forwarding those to managers and reviewing New Hire Queue
- Manage re-hire process for seasonal returning staff.
- Ensure new hires and rehires complete all requirement onboarding steps prior to 1st day of work
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for manager and employee inquiries related to Paycom, policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Help address employee issues and conflicts promptly and efficiently by reaching out and collecting the required information.
- Promote a positive work environment by supporting and executing employee engagement initiatives.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and documentation.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures related to job duties and tasks.
- Payroll and Reporting:
- Manage the processing of bi-weekly payroll
- Provide key reporting to management as needed
- Process garnishments & DSHS reporting
- Manage all paperwork and duties related to the Washington Employment Security Department & SIDES unemployment requests
- Year end payroll tasks that include W2s, ACA reports, etc.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage insurance benefits and be the main point of contact for employees.
- Ensure accurate accruals of PTO and Sick for employees
- Manage health insurance deductions in Paycom
- 401K enrollment and changes
- Training & Development:
- Identify training needs and assist in the development and delivery of training programs.
- Support career development and performance management processes.
- Injury Reporting
- Manage all L&I claims and injury reporting.
- OSHA 300 report
- Develop a record keeping process
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations is preferred
- Deep understanding of employment laws and best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Experience with Paycom or another HRIS is preferred but not required.

WORKING CONDITIONS/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Mission Ridge is a non-smoking facility.
- Weekend and holiday work may be required and involve extended hours due to the seasonal nature of the ski business.
- Due to the seasonal and weather dependent nature of the ski industry, Mission Ridge is an at-will employer and all employees are subject to reduced hours and layoffs.
- May be required to lift a maximum of 30 lbs.
