The Finance Manager primarily manages day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, capital accounts, cash flow optimization, and budgeting. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that requires excellent financial analysis, project management, and communication skills.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, at least five years of experience in finance/accounting, and an MBA or CPA designation is preferred.

Key Skills and Requirements as Finance Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within wealth management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, pivot tables, and spreadsheet management.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with wealth management industry practices and regulations.
- Experience using financial management software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong project management experience.
Responsibilities as Finance Manager:
- Act as the primary liaison between Mission Wealth and outsourced financial partners.
- Manage and communicate financial data with external partners to ensure alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Maintain and manage capital accounts and the associated financial records.
- Perform daily bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy between bank accounts and financial records.
- Monitor and report on daily cash flows and discrepancies, if any.
- Lead the analysis of monthly P&L reports, incorporating data from Amex and Visa transactions.
- Maintain and update the quarterly bonus spreadsheet
- Track and manage raise and hire information for employees, including salary adjustments and hiring processes.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working with senior leadership to set financial targets and forecast revenue and expenses for the upcoming year.
- Manage and execute various finance-related projects as directed by leadership, ensuring timely completion and alignment with company goals.
- Provide ongoing support for any additional finance and accounting tasks identified by leadership.
- Take initiative to continuously improve processes and contribute to the financial success of the company.
Job Type: Full-time, salaried non-exempt
Location: This position is based at our Santa Barbara office and is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days in the office each week.
Salary: $120,00 plus bonus paid in quarterly increments, estimate total compensation between $145,000-$150,000 per year.
