Essential Duties
- Recruit undergraduate students to the University with the goal of increasing enrollment
- Serve as a Senior Admissions Counselor
- Manage a complex daily, weekly and monthly schedule with recurring important professional commitments on and off campus
- Assist new students in navigating the admissions, financial aid and registration process
- Manage and coordinate tour visits for prospective students through daily organization and detailed planning
- Maintain and manage recruiting travel calendar for admissions counselors
- Serve as point of contact for high school counselors to facilitate the admissions process
- Create and manage strategic social media calendar for recruiting purposes
- Coordinate local college fair(s) and high school counselor outreach events
- Maintain and develop a robust communication plan that delivers content to prospective students through multiple channels
- Assist in coordinating a variety of student recruitment and enrollment initiatives
- Establish and manage sponsorships ans recruiting events at local high schools and community colleges
- Support a wide variety of academic programming both on and off campus
- Uses the Slate CRM to manage student recruiting activities
- Extensive local travel with occasional overnight travel
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
- More than one year of experience working in a college admissions office, with experience in student recruitment
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Familiarity with Slate CRM
- Demonstrates strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Comfortable engaging and connecting with prospective students
- Detail-oriented, able to effectively plan and organize events
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, social media communication and ability to learn new software/databases
Responsible for student recruitment initiatives, outreach and communication, and specialized events with the goal of increasing undergraduate enrollment. This position serves as a point of contact for high school counselors. Extensive local travel and some overnight travel is required.
