What are the responsibilities and job description for the PART TIME LAB MANAGER position at Missouri S&T?
- Explains policies and procedures to advise and assist others, team, and/or management
- Oversees and guides process completion and related programs, policies and procedures
- May perform some of the work supervised/managed, especially when it is highly complex and/or technical in nature
- May serve as a representative for the functional unit
- Applies operational research practices and coordinates with other closely related areas to improve efficiency
- Provides input to long-term plans and strategies for the function
- Provides technical expertise and assist faculty, staff and other parties in their research
- Coordinates resources and sets daily priorities to meet operational objectives and offset competing priorities
- Develops and/or assists with graphic design for grant/contract proposals to provide funding of research activities, and for outreach activities
- Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the research function, recommending efficiencies that align with the organization and best practice
- Explains information and changes, ensuring understanding
- Conveys performance expectations and handles sensitive issues
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's or Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $27.00 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
