Job Description
The Business Support Specialist II provides independent, specialized business and administrative support to the Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER) department. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, fiscal processes, human resources-related processes event coordination, and general office management. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $16.82-$19.50 hourly.
Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual’s particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.

Job Description
The Business Support Specialist II provides independent, specialized business and administrative support to the Career Opportunities and Employer Relations (COER) department. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, fiscal processes, human resources-related processes event coordination, and general office management. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Must be able available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends occasionally. Must be able to lift up to 30lbs and be on your feet for extended periods of time at events (5 hours).
- Maintains department schedules; travel arrangements, memberships, timesheets, etc
- Accounting and fiscal tasks; AR/AP, purchasing, account reconciliations and budget reporting, HR processes (job posting, scheduling interviews, offers, etc)
- Provides imperative data to internal and external stakeholders
- Assists with vendors, contracts and event planning
- Utilizes and maintains complex software systems to support COER data efforts
- Presentation programming and scheduling for the department's advisors along with assigning data requests and coordinating the dissemination of data
- Completes routine tasks and assignments
- Maintain historical hiring data and employer reports
- Serves as a liaison inside and outside the team when resolving routine matters
- Cover department front desk when student staff are assisting others or when additional coverage is needed
- Other duties as assigned
