Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. in Lake Mary, Florida is looking for a Process Engineering Associate (INTERNSHIP).
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Support the Process Engineering Team by performing an array of tasks that have direct impact on current projects that we are executing. This internship allows a current student to gain valuable experience in the Power Industry and exposure to real-world project execution.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:
- MUST be currently Enrolled in a bachelor’s Program in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Work Schedule: During School need to be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during business hours and can work up to 28 hours a week Max if a fit for the Student and During Breaks can be up to 40 hours a week as needed. (we will work around your school schedule and Finals).
- Length of Internship: 6 months minimum and could extend longer if a fit for the student and need to be able to commit to this time frame if selected.
- Must be able to start as soon as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Using Piping Isometrics, perform and review hydraulic calculations using our Hydraulic Software.
- Checking of P&IDs.
- Build models within our HYSYS Software.
- Gain understanding of our Gas Turbine Technology.
- Perform daily assigned tasks provided by the Lead Process Engineer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Perform other such duties as may be required.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures reporting all unsafe activities to Management and/or Human Resources.
- Proactively participate in team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to building a positive team spirit.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

- Education and/or Experience: Active student in a B.S. Mechanical or Chemical Engineering program from a four-year ABET accredited College or University.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one- on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software, PowerPoint software and Word Processing software. Advanced MS Excel, VBA Programming (not required).
