Job Summary
The purpose of the Senior Manager, Recovery Services role is to oversee Minnesota Prevention & Recovery Alliance’s (“MnPRA”) recovery division including Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (“CPRS”) Supervisors and staff, internal CPRS processes, and operations. This role will also oversee intake and billing processes within MnPRA; and the overall efficiency of CPRS staff. The Senior Manager, Recovery Services is also responsible for the overall compliance and strategic advancement of MnPRA, building and maintaining standard operating procedures poising MnPRA for sustainability. This is a highly visible role, both internally and externally, and requires strong collaboration and alignment with the MnPRA leadership team; partner treatment centers; and contract partners.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The essential functions include the following:
- Administration
- Oversee all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Partner with MnPRA team and partnered programs including inpatient/outpatient programs, sober housing, etc.
- Oversee service delivery processes.
- Support management and expansion of county contracts and grants.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships in the community such as MCB, Recovery Community Organizations, MARCO, mental health and treatment resource partners, and justice involved organizations and systems.
- Oversee Profit/Loss of all Recovery Services operations.
- Management of Certified Peer Recovery Specialists
- Lead and manage CPRS Supervisors and associated teams of CPRS staff
- Regularly visit sites where MnPRA provides peer recovery support services to ensure successful service delivery.
- Enhance onboarding experience for certified peer recovery specialists.
- Provide training and support to the CPRS team(s) to ensure compliance with applicable ethical requirements, appropriate boundaries, and efficient service delivery.
- Engage teams to use evidenced-based tools and curriculum to teach life and social skills, problem solving, and recovery skills with the goal of promoting self-empowerment of peer participants.
- Support staff to help participants focus on strengths and become self-directed in their own recovery program.
- Compliance
- Oversee MnPRA’s compliance program, ensuring MnPRA remains in compliance with applicable local and state regulations, leading compliance initiatives for internal and external audits, including State of Minnesota, Minnesota Certification Board, etc.
- Conduct internal and ongoing audits of all peer support billing records; ensuring services are accurately represented and effectively delivered.
- Mitigate risk from a variety of angles to achieve compliant solutions that align with strategic objectives.
Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent (relevant work experience in lieu of bachelor’s degree).
- Must have Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Supervisor accreditation through the Minnesota Certification Board, in good standing, or licensed as an alcohol & drug counselor (or be working toward licensure).
- At least 2 years of related experience serving in a peer support or related role.
- At least 2 years of experience in a management/leadership role, overseeing a team of direct reports.
- Previous experience in strategic planning, project management, and/or change management.
- At least 1 of freedom from problematic substances.

Target compensation range: $58,000 - $62,000/year DOQ
