Emergency Department (ED) Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department (ED) Technician to join our team in Springfield, VT. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of recent experience in an emergency setting and be comfortable working in a small critical access facility. This role requires hands-on patient care, technical skills, and the ability to support medical staff in emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist nurses and physicians with emergency medical procedures and patient care.
- Monitor vital signs and document patient information accurately.
- Perform wound care, splinting, and basic life support (BLS) interventions.
- Transport patients, set up equipment, and ensure emergency rooms are properly stocked.
- Maintain infection control standards and follow hospital protocols.
- Work efficiently in a small critical access facility to support patient flow.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience (Required).
- Travel experience (Preferred).
- Experience in a small critical access facility (Preferred).
- Current BLS certification (AHA required).
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification (Required).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
