Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper & Inventory Manager. In this dual role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing inventory operations, and optimizing organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience with QuickBooks, and a solid understanding of inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping and Financial Management:
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounts receivable and payable records.
- Utilize financial software, such as QuickBooks, for account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Prepare detailed financial reports and assist in technical accounting tasks to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
Inventory Management:
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies, documenting daily shipments, deliveries, and replenishment needs.
- Analyze inventory data to identify shortages, avoid surpluses, and maintain efficient stock levels.
- Create detailed inventory reports, including adjustments and operational summaries.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement and quality materials.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Office Manager, or Inventory Manager (or similar roles).
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks or similar financial software (e.g., Xero, Quicken).
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping practices, including double-entry accounting and accounts reconciliation.
- Experience designing and managing inventory tracking systems, including inventory software.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and inventory trends effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members and suppliers.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
