Personal Care Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality of life for clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in home health or caregiving settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed, ensuring their safety during transfers.
• Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behavior to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment for clients through light housekeeping tasks.
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records of patient observation and progress.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care, hospice care, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and medication administration protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
• Strong observational skills to recognize changes in client conditions effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with clients and their families.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
