POSITION SUMMARY
Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking an experienced Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) Instructor to play a pivotal role in training and developing elite combat leaders, recovery specialists, and military freefall jumpmasters in support of Air Force Special Warfare (AFSPECWAR) at Davis-Monthan AFB. As a JTAC Instructor, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing the readiness of Pararescue Jumpers (PJ), Combat Rescue Officers (CRO), SERE Specialists, and other AFSPECWAR operators. From classroom instruction to hands-on field training, you will empower the next generation of mission-ready specialists.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

Expert Instruction: Lead classroom and field training in AFSPECWAR Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
- Teach small unit tactics (SMUT), military aircraft control in combat operations, and Close Air Support (CAS).
- Serve as Drop Zone Controlling Officer (DZCO) and Drop Zone Safety Officer (DZSO) for training iterations.
- Scenario-Based Training: Act as simulated aircraft, air boss, and primary/assistant instructor for mission-relevant exercises.
- Course Development: Collaborate on syllabi and instructional materials, maintaining accuracy and relevancy.
- Accountability: Track student performance and instructional outcomes with After Action Reports (AARs) and Commander Update Briefs (CUBs).
- Optional Expertise: Support military parachuting (HALO/HAHO) and MFF Jumpmaster courses, and operate tactical vehicles, boats, and advanced rescue crafts during training.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Must be a former qualified JTAC assigned to SOF unit for a minimum of 5 years within the past 10 years.
- 5 years' experience in SOF unit in last 2 decades. SMUT, MOUT, CQC instruction experience. INDOPACOM experience. 2 years' experience instructing at FTU or equivalent institution.
- 2 years of military instructor experience at a Formal Training Unit or an equivalent institution.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- USAF Instructor Course Certification.
- MFF Jumpmaster Certification.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Maintain operational-level fitness, including:
- Carrying 75 lbs for up to 4 hours.
- Lifting 225 lbs from floor to waist height.
Handle hazardous materials, explosives, and munitions as needed.
