We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Material Handler (Bulk) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are handled, stored, and transported safely and efficiently. This position requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties.

Job Description

SUMMARY: The Bulk Material Handler is tasked with transferring bulk materials from silos, maintaining cleanliness in the silo area, and ensuring the proper functioning of bulk transfer equipment. This role also includes overseeing the delivery of virgin bulk materials from suppliers.

The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, and documentation of all material loads, boxes, and related items. Additionally, this role involves managing the warehouse and storage areas.

Material handlers will be cross trained for both Warehouse and Bulk material handling. Material Handlers are expected to perform their duties with an ownership mindset, prioritizing safety, quality, and production in that order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Participate in the daily stretch and bend meeting with the entire shift.

2. Ensure adherence to all company Safety Program policies at all times.

3. Load and unload products/materials in accordance with customer specifications.

4. Operate manual transmission trucks and haul tanks within company grounds.

5. Maintain accurate product counts and records of all loads and warehoused materials.

6. Monitor the quality of all shipped and received products.

7. Ensure proper inspection and maintenance of yard mules and semi-trucks.

8. Perform duties in outdoor or indoor environments, may be exposed to various weather conditions.

9. Assist fellow employees as needed.

10. Maintain a clean and safe work area.

11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

2. Strong interpersonal skills.

3. Reliable and team oriented.

4. Capable of acquiring new skills.

5. Proficient is basic mathematics.

6. Comfortable with climbing ladders and working at heights.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. 1-3 years of forklift driving experience.

3. 1-2 years of non-CDL semi driving experience, including manual transmission and backing of bulk tanks.
