Responsibilities
As a Purchasing Analyst, you will support MTSI in the procuring and managing of products including software, hardware, and Other Direct Costs in response to Commercial and Federal Government contracts purchase requests. Buying can be executed via Credit Card or Purchase Order once Government approval has been obtained via Request to Initiate Purchase (RIP). An understanding of FAR, DFAR and DoD government policies are needed to ensure all procured items or services meet and exceed the expected requirements. This position can support remotely.

Required Qualifications:
B.A./B.S. in Finance, Acquisition, Contracting, Management or related field (REQUIRED) or substitute 6 Years of highly relevant Experience.
Travel
This is a remote position. Occassional travel may be required.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Develop documentation in support of the procurement and purchasing lifecycle.
- Responsible for all communication and coordination with multiple product vendors and providers.
- Perform procurement and supplier management activities in support of Commercial and U.S. Government contracts.
- Prepare Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and verify accuracy and completeness of proposal packages.
- Process purchasing transactions in the purchasing system and award purchase orders within assigned signature authority to suppliers in accordance with state and government regulations and MTSI Procurement Policies and Procedures.
- Monitor procurement reports and help drive performance to meet company metric targets.
- Enter and update purchase orders and other procurement actions within the electronic purchasing system.
- Present reports and briefs to internal stakeholders including high level executives.
- Manage expectations of government customers and internal stakeholders.
- Support periodic reviews (weekly) for status of all open procurements.
- Negotiate contracts and purchasing agreements on behalf of the government customers.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of procurement, purchasing experience in support of a federal government department/agency (DoD experience highly preferred).
- Knowledge of federal government purchasing rules and regulations (FAR/DFAR).
- Hands on experience supporting procurement lifecycle including software, hardware, and Other Direct Costs.
- Expert working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced organizational, time management, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Able to manage multiple procurements at once.
- You must be able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment and meet required schedules and timelines.
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands.
- Self-motivator and self-starter.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint Materials, Time & Expense modules a plus
- Experience with Government P-Card and bank reconciliation a plus
