What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mental Health Clinician (Tulelake) position at Modoc County Office of Education?
Provide direct mental health services that include assessment, consultation, evaluation,
treatment plan development, treatment coordination, individual, group, and case
management.
Conduct assessments and screeners to identify mental health issues and behavioral
challenges among students.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to gather comprehensive
information.
Counseling Services:
Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address emotional and behavioral
concerns.
Develop personalized treatment plans to support students in overcoming challenges.
Implement strategies to promote a culture of caring, respect, and safety.
Provide anti-bullying, anti-violence, and positive social-emotional skills building.
Crisis Intervention:
Respond to and manage crises or emergencies affecting students' mental health.
Collaborate with school administrators and County Behavioral Health to implement
effective crisis intervention strategies.
Collaboration with the School Community:
Attend and/or conduct program-related meetings, training, and workshops, and
participate in inter/intra agency planning and staff meetings as appropriate.
Work closely with teachers, school counselors, and administrators to create a supportive
and inclusive school environment.
Offer consultation to educators on managing classroom behavior and addressing
students' mental health needs.
Parental and Caregiver Involvement:
Acts as a liaison/consultant between clients, families, school personnel, and community
agencies.
Plans and conducts in-service training for parents, students, district personnel, and
others.
Engage with parents and caregivers to provide information, support, and resources.
Collaborate with families to develop strategies for addressing mental health concerns
outside of school.
Prevention and Education:
