Position Overview:
The Assistant Controller will support the accounting and finance team in managing day-to-day financial operations, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reviewing invoices, processing payments, and ensuring accuracy.
- Help with financial reconciliations, including bank and credit card reconciliations, to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure compliance with tax filing requirements and assist in preparing tax-related documents.
- Participate in financial data analysis, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Assist with other ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting requests as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
