GTS Operator III

Description

This is a rotating day shift position working 7:00am to 7:00pm. The GTS Operator III operates the furnace, steam generator, and the thermal oil system to supply the energy needs of the Refiner and the press line.

Responsibilities

• Monitors the continuous production of energy through the furnace, steam generator and the thermal oil system.
• Monitors furnace temperatures, thermal oil temperatures, and steam pressure.
• Performs root cause analysis on problems and works with maintenance to resolve them.
• Communicates with other control room operators to maintain stable and consistent production.
• Performs basic maintenance related tasks and inspections.
• Directs GTS housekeeping activities during shift when needed.
• Assists maintenance personnel in performing technical work when needed.
• Completes paper work that is due at the end of every shift for shift notes.
• Make rounds around the GTS system periodically during the shift.
• Performs other related duties as required.
  
  

Qualifications

• Requires 2 or more years experience in a manufacturing environment
