Position: Surveillance Officer
Reports to: SSOIC, Assistant Surveillance Director, Surveillance Director, and SGC
Hours: Full-time
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for providing observation and documentation for all Casino-related activities. Surveillance Officers will ensure patrons and employees will have a safe and pleasant Casino atmosphere through covert surveillance techniques. Employees of the Surveillance Department are responsible for maintaining all surveillance-related equipment. All Surveillance Officers are expected to become knowledgeable in the Standard Operating Procedures and SGC MICS/TICS of all Casino departments of which he/she is expected to provide observation, documentation, and required camera coverage.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Safeguard casino assets and premises as well as SCC C-Store by providing adequate camera coverage.
· Proficiency in observation and perception techniques.
· Knowledgeable of all Casino rules and regulations (i.e., policies and procedures, and SGC MICS/TICS).
· Provide complete and accurate reports on all incidents.
· Knowledgeable of all Casino emergency procedures.
· Assist Assistant Surveillance Director, SSOIC, Surveillance Director, and SGC with video reviews and reports.
· Provide recorded camera coverage over revenues as required per department.
· Provide maintenance for all Surveillance equipment.
· Implement and adhere to all SOP and SGC MICS/TICS.
· Abide by any/all other duties as assigned by the SSOIC, Assistant Surveillance Director, and Surveillance Director.
UNIFORM:
· Clean, casual wear acceptable.
· Personal hygiene and good grooming practice. All Surveillance personnel will be clean in appearance, free of body odors. Hair and beards must be combed and trimmed. NO EXCEPTIONS!
· SGC issued Gaming License/ID Badge must be worn at all times while on duty.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Two forms of ID, one of which must be a photo ID.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must submit to and pass drug and alcohol test upon hire and at random.
· Physically able to perform all aspects of the position.
· Be able to pass a background investigation.
· Must be able to take and receive a passing score to Title 31 Compliance review.
· Successfully complete a 60-day probationary period.
· Reliable means of transportation to and from work.
· Must be able to interact well with department co-workers and be courteous on all radio communications.
· Good observations and report writing skills.
· Ability to comprehend and follow procedures.
· Native American preference is granted according to P.L. 93-638.
