Millwright
Summary:
The Millwright for the Texas City plant location will be responsible for completing duties as assigned for the Maintenance organization. This individual will report directly to the Maintenance Leader for the Texas City site.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
- Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in facility settings to ensure minimum downtime
- Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts
- Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones
- Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
- Monitoring the health and efficacy of equipment through various means including visual and auditory cues, monitoring tools, technical monitoring devices, or any means by which is appropriate as explained by the equipment manufacturer.
- Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts
- Must work in full compliance with the approved safety regulations
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks
- Above Average mechanical aptitude and knowledge of rotating equipment
- Proficient in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools
- Proficient use of technical tools used for leveling, aligning, calibrating, and setting plant equipment
- Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills to allow for effective reading and comprehension of documents such as specifications, machine manuals, and blueprints
- Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues
- Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to be a team player due to constant interactions with other employees and across all departments
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position demands physical stamina, requiring regular sitting, standing, bending, stooping, climbing, twisting, turning, grasping, and movement within the facility. Walking on various surfaces and maintaining balance are essential. Strong sensory abilities, including hearing, sight, and clear speech, are necessary. Lifting to 50 pounds may be required. Certain positions may necessitate passing a fit test and wearing a respirator. The work environment for this position is a manufacturing setting, which may expose employees to outdoor weather conditions and loud noise levels. Candidates must be adaptable and comfortable working in a traditional business environment. What We Offer:
Base Pay Range: $39 - $57
