What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk / Guest Services position at Monarch Hotel?

We are looking for a friendly and well-groomed Hotel Front Desk & Guest Services Agent to be responsible for greeting guests and managing reservations. As the first point of contact for many guests, you will create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure a smooth operation at the front desk.
 
Hotel Front Desk Agent Responsibilities:
  • Perform check-in and check-out tasks efficiently.
  • Manage online and phone reservations.
  • Welcome guests, assign rooms, and provide information about the hotel and its amenities.
  • Answer customer queries via phone, online, or in person.
  • Provide information about the hotel and surrounding areas, staying up-to-date on local attractions.
  • Process customer payments and verify credit card information.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings and payments.
  • Address guest complaints and escalate critical issues to supervisors.
  • Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations for guests.
  • Keep the lobby and entrance areas clean and tidy.
Requirements and skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hotel reservation software.
  • Well-presented and professional appearance.
  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • A customer-centric attitude.
  • Familiarity with travel planning websites.
