Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Virtual Child Therapist to provide telehealth therapy services to children and adolescents in need of mental health support. This is a flexible, part-time 1099 independent contractor position that offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual therapy sessions with children and adolescents via secure telehealth platforms.
- Assess and diagnose mental health conditions using evidence-based approaches.
- Collaborate with parents/guardians to ensure effective communication and support outside of therapy sessions.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in therapy practice.
- Stay up-to-date with current therapeutic techniques, research, and practices in child and adolescent mental health.
Requirements:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW), or equivalent.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting (telehealth experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions for children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and maintain a high level of professionalism.
- Must be tech-savvy and comfortable using secure telehealth platforms for therapy sessions.
