Provide clerical support and office organization to the Special Education Supervisor.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Provide clerical support and office organization to Special Education Supervisor.
- Support Special Education Supervisor in the areas that he/she is responsible for.
- Maintain any needed databases.
- Coordinates various CSE meetings during the year including re-evaluations and disseminates information.
- Processes addendums and requests for support services (89F’s) as needed for the student’s in her supervisor’s caseload.
- Use IEP/BOCES Direct for printing of class lists and following up on student information.
- Process student incident reports and enters appropriate information in the VADIR database.
- Assists in sorting of mail for the Special Education Department. Process mail/postage.
- Perform other such duties as assigned by the Special Education Supervisors.

Qualifications:
Must possess or meet requirements for Civil Service title Office Clerk II, III or IV. Clerical experience strongly preferred, including word processing and data base knowledge.
Clerk II - High School diploma and 3 years full or part time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; or an Associate's degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology or a closely related field plus one (1) year of office clerical or secretarial experience.
OR
Clerk III - High School diploma and 2 years paid full-time or part-time or volunteer equivalent office clerical or secretarial experience; or an Associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Office Technology or a closely related field.
OR
Clerk IV - Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma.
