What are the responsibilities and job description for the MPS Summer Program - Student Service Provider position at Monroe Public Schools?
- Provide casework services to students and parents, fostering parental understanding and engagement in addressing social issues that impact student learning.
- Assist students and staff in implementing behavior management plans to support a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with external agencies, organizations, and institutions, including state and federal authorities, as needed.
- Work closely with administrators and teaching staff to assess individual student needs, including those of students with special needs, and communicate available social work services.
- Serve as a resource for students and parents, offering counseling to promote personal growth, self-awareness, and behavioral management while strengthening the home-school connection.
- Stay current in the field by attending professional development opportunities such as seminars, workshops, and research activities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records per district procedures and legal requirements, including providing necessary student information for colleges and employers.
- Encourage and facilitate parental involvement in student education through clear and effective communication.
- Select and manage appropriate resources, including books, materials, and supplies, while maintaining inventory records.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal or designated central office administrators.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in an applicable field (e.g., education, social work, psychology, counseling).
- Compensation: $175 daily rate
- Schedule: July 7-17 and July 21-31 (Monday-Thursday)
