Job Summary
The H2A Coordinator will work closely and be of assistance to the HR Orchard Manager. Should be knowledgeable with rules and regulations of the H2A program to assist in their day-to-day tasks. This position assists and is in constant communication with the HR orchard manager. Coordinator will work closely with Regional Orchard Managers, Orchards Managers, HR Manager, Payroll Supervisor, and reports to the H2A manager and the HR Director.
Responsibilities and functions: working closely with the H2A Manager
- Responsible for organizing and obtaining all company required licenses & certifications for recruitment, housing, and transportation.
- Assist in filing of H2A applications for certification of program
- Assist in H2A Contracts and H2A related documents, policies, and processes are updated and compliant with program rules and regulations.
- Assist with Recruiting, Interviewing and Onboarding of H2A workforce
- Preparation of DS160 – H2A Visa Application
- Coordinating inbound and outbound transportation
- Assist in training managers and supervisor on program rules
- Assist with Managing workers housing responsibilities, conducting inspections
- Manage and coordinate H2A specific meetings, trainings, and events, e.g., social security appts. & benefits.
- Coordinate with HR to Investigate employee issues and conflict and bring to resolution
- Develop training program for manager/supervisor new to H2A program
- Conduct internal audits and inspections of program compliance and contract guarantees
- Partner with orchards managers to evaluate workers needs in productions, job understanding, quality of work, and overall worker satisfaction.
- Assist with Orchard Payroll (when needed)
- Maintain H2A records
