A Purchasing Coordinator provides support to various internal departments. Ensures timely and accurate purchases of supplies are performed with consideration to quality and pricing. Maintain files and records of materials, prices, inventory and deliveries. This position is to assist the Purchasing Manager/Supervisor by assessing the performance of new and existing suppliers,

What do we expect?
- Maintains records and inventory of Sanitation Chemicals, Tray Repair, Raw and Packaging materials.
- Generate and analyze weekly usage and spend reports by departments
- Process requisition forms for non-inventory items from departments, with proper authorization,
- Obtain competitive quotes from vendors, purchase at competitive price, receive in timely manner, manage backorders and issue to proper department
- Develop and maintain electronic supply request forms
- Process all PO’s through the JDE PO system, with accurate account numbers, and received in a timely manner
- Implement and manage an inbound receiving log for Warehouse deliveries
- Proactively assess proper levels of material and supplies - support cost effective on hand inventory and physical levels on shelves to ensure critical items are available when needed
- Maintain active item master file for all Warehouse stocked items
- Maintain MRO parts list for items at satellite storerooms
- Troubleshoot and document quantity and quality discrepancies with suppliers
- Prepare month end inventory analysis on inventory dollars, material time supply and cycle count accuracy.
- Ensures expected paperwork flow of shipping and receiving documentation,
- Performs all requirements of sanitation HACCP and GMP standards including hairnet, beard net, and personal hygiene policies. Special clothing may be required from time to time for sanitation purposes
- Works with supervisor and management staff on projects as requested,
- Active role in implementing MRO module conversion thru JDE.
- Observe and practice safety procedures at all times. Be safety conscious. Correct or notify the supervisor of safety hazards. In the event of an accident, notify the supervisor immediately. Attend Safety Meetings.
- Unloads trucks using forklift, electric pallet jack, hand truck as necessary.
- Operates In-Ground Truck Scale as necessary
What are we looking for?
- Computer literate, with data entry experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive
- 3-5 years purchasing experience
- Must possess a valid, clean CDL
- Understanding of warehousing operations and purchasing procedures.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Willing to be Certified to drive a Forklift and Electric Pallet Jack, and Handtruck
- Willing to be trained to operate in-ground truck scale
- Good understanding of Maintenance and Mechanical Equipment
- Bilingual, English and Spanish, is a plus
