What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Assistant position at Montgomery County Auditor's Office?
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Audit/process vendor invoices presented for payment
- Sort, verify coding & match invoices for payment
- Maintain accurate & organized vendor files
- Perform timely research & resolve questions/discrepancies concerning payments to vendors
- Prepare vouchers; data entry of same in batches
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- HS Diploma required
- One year comprehensive Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Type 30 wmp / 10 key by touch
- Legible handwriting
- Detail-oriented
- Experience in automated system, voucher preparation, & computer data entry
- Clear/Professional communication (both written & verbal)
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, "problem-solve", & work independently
- Ability to meet attendance requirements (including punctuality) & work any schedule assigned
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license & acceptable driving record; verifiable ty TXDPS
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.68 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
