About the Position
This Position is ONLY Open to Montgomery County Government Employees:
(1) Current Montgomery County Government employees; Any Department;
(2) Montgomery County employees who were affected by reduction-in-force and currently have RIF priority rights.
(3) Active Montgomery County local fire and rescue department volunteers with at least 50 points under the length of service award program (LOSAP); or
(4) Active Project SEARCH Interns or former Montgomery County Customized Employment Public Interns, or Project SEARCH Interns within 24 months of completion of internship.
The anticipated salary range on hire for this role is $55,918.00 - 84,055.00WHO WE ARE
The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is made up of approximately 1,300 sworn officers and approximately 650 support personnel. The Police Department was established in 1922 and today is responsible for providing service to a County with a population of over one million people.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking to fill the Office Services Coordinator position within our Major Crimes Division, Fugitive Unit with an individual who possesses excellent customer service skills, communication skills, report writing skills and clerical support.
What You'll Be Doing
- ?????????Reviewing Court Summons and Arrest Warrants required to be served by the Montgomery County Department of Police.? Establishing and maintaining the unit’s case management databases to support the unit and the unit supervisor.?
- ?????????Completing written reports within the Department’s Report Management System (currently E-Justice).?
- ?????????Receiving and reviewing all criminal court summons and arrest warrants from other jurisdictions outside of Montgomery County, Maryland to be entered and updated in the unit’s case management databases and other department’s required record management systems.?
- ?????????Sending official letters and other notifications to defendants about required court summons and arrest warrants.? Communicate with defendants to schedule appointments with a detective.
- ?????????Accessing approved Law Enforcement databases (METERS, NCIC, etc.) to verify information and support the unit personnel.?
- ?????????Providing monthly statistical reports, as well as other required reports, for the unit and the unit supervisor/managers.
- ?????????Providing customer service to both internal and external clients and completing other office administrative duties.??
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: Four (4) years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria, Interview Preferences
- Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.; and creating and updating PDF documents.
- Experience communicating and eliciting essential information over the phone.
- Experience using law enforcement computer applications, to include the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the Maryland Electronic Telecommunications Enforcement Resource System (METERS), Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and EJustice records management system.
- Experience generating statistical reports to be presented at meetings.
- Experience working in a law enforcement environment.
