Position Overview
The Montshire Museum of Science seeks a highly skilled Director of Strategic Philanthropy to join its senior management team. This key role will be responsible for developing and implementing donor strategies, managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, and securing major gifts to support the museum's mission.
Main Responsibilities:
• Identify and qualify potential donors
• Conduct research on donors and develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
• Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals
• Develop and track solicitation assignments
• Coordinate donor visits and events
• Write proposals and create campaign documents
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and CFRE preferred
• 5 years of individual giving experience with a strong background in major gifts fundraising
• Skilled in donor engagement, prospecting, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship
• Experience writing fundraising proposals and building philanthropic relationships
• Excellent computer skills and fluency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and social media
