Description
The Project Risk Specialist position at Moody Insurance role focused on developing and placing
builders' risk, inland marine, property, and equipment/installation insurance for the construction
industry. This role involves leading project-specific, technical construction risks, negotiating with
carriers, and presenting proposals to clients. The Project Risk Specialist is expected to provide
thought leadership, develop innovative solutions, and maintain strong relationships with clients
and industry stakeholders.
This position will report to the President, Commercial Lines/General Counsel.
This is not a remote role.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
3-5 years of Commercial Insurance Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred
Property & Casualty License
Good understanding of regional / local LOB insurance markets and competitor
landscape.
Strong technical knowledge of builders' risk, inland marine, property, and
equipment/installation insurance.
Proven ability in account management, servicing, placement, and negotiation.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, including advanced negotiation, communications and
presentation experience.
Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
Must be entrepreneurial and a self-starter.
Ability to collaborate and work within a Team Environment.
Job Functions
Following is a brief outline of essential tasks for the Project Risk Specialist, but other responsibilities
and duties may be assigned:
Lead the new and renewal project and account placement strategy for builders' risk and related
insurance.
Identify and recommend coverage and markets and negotiate with carriers.
Prepare and present proposals to clients and prospects.
Provide thought leadership in the industry and develop new program and product solutions.
Experience working on Master Builder’s Risk programs and project-specific placements.
Strong underwriting acumen and attention to detail.
Identify clients' risk needs and present efficient solutions.
Support the Vice President, Risk Management and Commercial Lines President, as needed.
Develop and manage relationships with carriers and brokers.
Prepare comprehensive coverage analysis for clients, including policy forms and
endorsements.
Collaborate with claims professionals for resolution of complex claims matters.
Build and maintain relationships with clients.
Lead the development of custom solutions to meet client needs.
Organize sales data and develop sales documents and presentations
Other duties as assigned
Preferred:
CRIS, CIC, ARM, or other professional designations are desirable.
Commercial underwriting experience
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
