June 30th - August 7th
Monday - Thursday
8:00 am - 12:00 pm (4 Hours)

Salary: $40.00/hr (DESE Licensed); $30.00/hr (Non-Licensed)
Organizational Relationship
or Line of Authority:
Directly responsible to the Summer Coordinator and/or the After-School Program Director and/or his/her designee
Statement of Duties:
- Responsible for instructional, curriculum and general duties as indicated by the Principal, Supervisor, and directives of the Superintendent.
- Works cooperatively with colleagues, administrators and parents/guardians
- Substitute daily for absent professional staff as determined by the Principal/designee
- Maintains and respects confidentiality of student and school personnel information.
- Must possess the ability to adapt to a variety of lesson plans when covering various subjects or grades.
- Provides summary of activities accomplished, lesson plans completed and not completed and any other additional information that the classroom teacher should be aware of.
- Maintains a safe and positive learning environment for all students and reports all student discipline issues to the appropriate authority.
- Adheres to district policies for staff.
- Annually completes the appropriate staff training and Substitute Handbook
- Performs other duties assigned by the Principal or directives of the Superintendent of
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher required.
- Licensed Teacher by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education – preferred.
- CPR and First Aid Certified
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
