Moon Physical Therapy is a unique, privately owned clinic in Honolulu and Mililani Mauka, with a new location in Kailua, HI. We specialize in Aquatic Therapy offering Hawaii's only Hydroworx 300 Sport. Consider joining our team of highly skilled, passionate, and growth-oriented professionals. We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and well organized person to join our team as an Patient Care Coordinator.
This position would assist staff with maintaining daily operations within the clinic. Some overall job responsibilities include greeting patients in a welcoming and energetic manner, in person and on the phone, communicate effectively and compliantly via telephone, email, and any other form of communication available to patients, coordinate and schedule active patients based on established plan of care, manage the clinic's schedule to ensure efficient and expedient patient care for walk-in appointments, scheduled appointments, and potential new patient appointments, collect and post all patient balances including but not limited to deductible, co-insurances, co-payments, and retail sale related balances, register new patients through the Intake questionnaire, input patient data and updated electronic charts accurately, and general organization of the office aspects of the clinic. We are looking to hire someone who works well with co-workers and patients alike and enjoys working in a fun environment with a good sense of humor.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required, but must be willing to learn and uphold company policies.
- Must have the ability to exercises a high degree of diplomacy and tact, excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have excellent telephone skills; handling large call volume may be required.
- Must be flexible, able to accommodate and changing needs of the facility.
- Must have basic math skills; must be able to use standard office equipment.
- Must be willing to work nights and/or Saturdays; must be able to work rotating schedule between hours of 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM.
- Working knowledge of insurance benefits, deductibles, co-payments related to the delivery of medical care
- Good writing and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and remain friendly and professional.
- Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
- Friendly personality with the desire to work with the public.
- Ability to prioritize and follow up on completion of tasks.
