Moonstone Properties is looking for an Assistant Manager for The Moonstone Beach Motel and Moclips Beach Rental Vacation Homes.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the oversight of the entire motel and rental house operations. This includes guest rooms, laundry and supply areas, public areas and grounds, and leisure facilities. This position requires a solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and will assure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed. These responsibilities may also include staff training, development and scheduling. The Assistant Manager will promote an atmosphere that ensures guest and associate satisfaction. This position reports directly to the General Manager and requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively deal with guests and associates.
Responsibilities Include – (not limited to)
- Assisting with daily planning and management of housekeeping staff and operations
- Demonstrating thorough knowledge of housekeeping and laundry supplies
- Completing inspections and pre-arrival checks for guest rooms and rental houses
- Follow-up on property maintenance issues
- Carrying out some repair and maintenance
- Developing rapport with repair and maintenance vendors and follow-up on completed work
- Ensuring proper staffing levels for changing needs
- Adhering to all safety and security policies and procedures, including OSHA and ADA
- Fulfilling front office duties including guest relations and reservations
- Maintaining a professional & courteous relation with guests and vendors via email and phone.
- Operating Microsoft, Google Drive and other operating systems.
PREREQUISITES:
Strong communication and management skills with an ability to assign work and follow-up. Able to provide coaching, advice, and assistance as required. Available to work based on company demand, including weekends, holidays, and nights. Previous industry experience in guest relations and maintenance.
Experience with Outlook, Google Drive, Easy Innkeeper, and Booking.com is a plus.
This is a hourly position of 30-40 hours a week.
