Description

As an System Support Specialist , you will provide technical support in concert with the direction of the Information Technology Manager. You will ensure adherence to best practices and proven methodologies to promote continuous information operations, resiliency of systems operations and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans and documentation of server.

The onsite role is in our Tulsa, OK or Richmond, VA office.

Your Impact :

  • Ensure systems and applications are effective, reliable, and meet the service delivery needs of all programs.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the disaster recovery, business continuity and resiliency plans.
  • Identify and coordinate installation, upgrades, and ongoing support of software packages across organizations.
  • Plan, implement and review upgrades of any existing applications, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.
  • Train technical staff in how to use new software and hardware developed and / or acquired.
  • Maintain security and protects systems from unauthorized use, acts of nature and user abuse.
  • Coordinate and execute changes that increase performance and availability upon approval for the IT Manager.
  • Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical ERP computer resources.
  • Provide up-to-date system documentation and inventories.
  • Work in concert with software and hardware vendors for problem resolution when necessary.
  • Provide advance notification of all planned system and network outages within a strong change control environment and set realistic expectations on availability.
  • Coordinate and communicate closely with management and help desk during all unplanned outages.

Your Profile :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • 2 years' IT support experience, ideally ERP customer support service.
  • Microsoft or VMWare certifications preferred.
  • Available to be on call (24 / 7).
  • Strong customer service skills, focused on client's objectives and attentiveness to the needs of users.
  • Working knowledge with ERP systems and support, EPS (EFI) iQuote and Monarch strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Servers, NAS Administration (preferably Synology), CRM (preferably Odoo), and end user support / helpdesk.
  • Strong understanding of technical troubleshooting methodology.
  • Previous experience with Backups, preferably, Veeam, Synology Hyper Backup, Backblaze B2.
  • Ability to facilitate problem-solving among administrative groups with varying needs and priorities, and to communicate well with administrative users, technical staff, and senior management.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills across organizational boundaries.
  • Stays current with technological developments in systems administration technology, recommending ways for organization to take advantage of new technology.
  • Strong documentation skills.
