Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a full-time Docketing Specialist to join its Charlotte, NC Intellectual Property team.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Opening and distributing incoming correspondences
- Keeping electronic files up-to-date
- Docketing USPTO and foreign patent and trademark deadlines
- Interacting with others in the docketing department, paralegals, and attorneys on docketing matters and procedures.
- Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this interactive position.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a law firm setting required; Intellectual property experience preferred
- Prior docketing and patent/trademark experience is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Organized with excellent time management skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Eager to learn – ambitious – passionate
Physical Requirements:
- The work is primarily sedentary.
- It requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- The work requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- The work at times requires bending, squatting, and reaching, with the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull light weights.
