Job Summary
The Temporary Response Specialist supports all aspects of the management of assigned projects, including quality, customer satisfaction, profitability, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Participates with senior management in executing project scope and plan.
- Works in conjunction with Salvage and Dive Masters to support environmental needs.
- Assumes duties within Operations Section in support of overall Incident Command Team (IMT).
- Supports and provides leadership to all aspects of environmental response, clean-up, and planning for assigned projects.
- Has overall responsibility for safety and compliance for specific projects assigned.
- Manages administration process of dailies and works with project account for specific assignments.
- Provides support to diving and salvage operations as needed.
- Manages and maintains performance of assigned teams.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- At least five years of direct management experience.
- Must be multi-task oriented and have strong supervisory, time management, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Must have ability to understand and analyze components of job costs, profit, and loss.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal), analytical, and persuasive skills and ability to interact effectively with all levels of clients, employees, and management.
- Ability to serve as outside representative of the company and see business development as a core function.
- Ability to work in wide range of environments, including those involving hazardous conditions, which may require lifting or exerting force exceeding 50 lbs.
- Must have licenses required by position, in good standing, and meet applicable MER and DOT driving requirements to operate company vehicles and equipment.
- Ability to work in excess of regularly scheduled hours when necessary.
- Ability to travel overnight as required by business needs.
- Must participate in continuing education classes and successfully complete occupational safety training courses as required.
Education Requirements
- B.A./B.S. degree required.
- Additional business management education or professional training strongly preferred.
