Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Greater Jacksonville Area (Hybrid – In-office & Remote)
Job Summary:
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing our company’s accounts payable functions. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting the overall financial operations. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review invoices for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Manage and maintain vendor accounts, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all accounts payable transactions.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure proper coding of invoices and timely processing.
- Handle inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding payment status.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable.
- Support the accounting team with other tasks and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role desired.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
