- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by adhering to established protocols and resident rights.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
Skills
- Experience in direct support or home health care is preferred.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices related to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Understanding of resident rights and advocacy for individuals in long-term care settings.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed while ensuring their comfort and dignity.
