Job Overview

We are seeking a Vice President to lead the analytics development of our proprietary Wealth Strategies Analysis tool (WSA), as well collaborate with other quantitative researchers on key modeling initiatives that support the investment process. The WSA provides pivotal support to our high net worth and institutional clients as they seek to create holistic solutions that bridge investing and broader balance sheet considerations, such as those related to alternative investments, concentrated stock positions, trust and estate planning and portfolio choice problems involving instruments with non-linear payoff profiles, utilizing sophisticated quantitative modeling to illustrate trade-offs associated with various strategies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for augmenting these innovative analytics, as well deepening integration across decision nodes and into our existing offerings. The candidate will also support key ongoing research initiatives that utilize artificial intelligence to support manager due diligence and portfolio construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and management of modeling analytics supporting ultra-high net-worth planning tools behind the firm’s field-facing investment and planning application suite.
  • Collaborate with technology, operations, and management teams to enhance enterprise solutions.
  • Expand and leverage the team’s quantitative frameworks and other fundamental investment analysis to support multi-period asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio construction.
  • Design and implement new analytics, test tools, and document methodologies, risks, and procedures.
  • Support department strategy by analyses of key opportunities and potential enhancements. Present findings to internal stakeholders and management.
  • Contribute to written reports and presentations for research documentation and client events.

Skills Required

The team seeks a highly-motivated self-starter with strong analytical proficiency, financial services experience, ideally with high net worth and institutional investors, demonstrated interest in financial markets, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience – development side or product ownership is desired. Experience with JIRA is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in programming languages – skills with Matlab, VBA and Python is a strong plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably with an advanced STEM degree from a reputable institution.
  • Understanding of global financial markets, asset allocation, and portfolio construction.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with experience in engaging with internal stakeholders, technology teams, and management.
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses, or willingness to obtain them upon hire.
  • A self-starter with a high level of motivation, integrity, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to work under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
