Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced welder to join our team at Morgan Truck Body LLC. As a welder, you will be responsible for operating various welding equipment and working on aluminum, steel, and galvanneal materials. You will also be involved in wiring trucks from front to rear lights, installing lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms, and ensuring high safety measures while working.
Responsibilities:
- Operate multiple welding machines and equipment
- Weld metals according to customer or employer requirements
- Install various components such as lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms
- Maintain high safety standards while working
- Examine equipment after welding and advise maintenance of defects
- Plan and set up welding operations before beginning work
- Read blueprints and weld according to the plan
Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a weld test
- Proficient in three or more of the following welding materials: mild steel, galvanneal, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
- At least 3 years of welding experience
- Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
- Experience with hand tools
- Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications
- 18 years old or older
