The Special Events Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing various special events, ensuring they run smoothly and successfully.
Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of special events from conception to completion
- Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines
- Manage event budgets and ensure financial targets are met
- Oversee event logistics including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual requirements
- Collaborate with vendors, sponsors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality events
- Market events effectively to drive attendance and engagement
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Implement fundraising strategies during events
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests
- Upsell event offerings to maximize revenue
Qualifications
- Proven experience in event planning and management
- Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Knowledge of catering services and banquet operations
- Proficient in budgeting and financial management for events
