Your purpose:
As a Plate Mounter, you will be responsible for daily maintenance and upkeep of plates, ensuring that plates are available and accessible for all areas of production.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot machines for any malfunctions or irregularities.
- Perform regular quality checks and fix machine parts as needed to ensure they operate successfully.
- Responsible for mounting plates for upcoming jobs.
- Plate cleaning.
- Filing/storage ensuring the integrity of the plates and filing system.
- Pull plates daily as required to meet production schedule.
- Prompt mounting and positioning of plates.
- Ensuring that multiple plates are aligned correctly to minimize re-mounts due to misalignment.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Assist other departments when needed.
- Participate in quality and continuous improvement.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be primarily in our climatecontrolled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration and equipment noise leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions, tight spaces, cleaning solvents and heights.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, and grasping.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) talking, listening, teaching, and repetitive motion, hand/wrist movement.
- Continuous (6 or more hours per day) standing and walking.
- Frequent (1 to 3 hours per day) work in a stooped position.
- Good eyesight, normal hearing.
- Ability to move and lift objects, frequently 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Days, nights and hours may vary depending on assigned shift and productions requirements. This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle or customer volume of business.
Travel: Should not be required.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
- Ability to receive, track and distribute materials, supplies and equipment.
- Knowledge of light equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Independent/self-starter.
- Ability to stay organized and pay attention to detail.
- Ability to react quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Effective communication skills via email, phone and in person.
- Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.
- Basic math skills.
