The Quality Control Technician position is an 8-hour shift Monday through Friday (10:30pm-6:30am) working in our state of the art, climate-controlled facility, with the opportunity for voluntary overtime and, at times, may require overtime beyond the normal workday. As a Quality Control Technician, you will monitor product quality to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards. The QC Technician must execute their duties safely, efficiently, and accurately. at optimum speeds in a team atmosphere. Morris Packaging provides on-site training and certification, to support your success.
Job duties Include:
- Conduct and maintain record of quality testing procedures.
- Quarantine and maintain record of nonconforming materials.
- Conduct department cleaning procedures.
- Operate computer and lab equipment.
- Support training of quality control technicians.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Must have basic math skills and be able to read standard measuring tape.
- Attention to detail and ability to document data and information accurately.
- Ability to exercise independent judgement and make decisions with regard to quality standards.
- Ability to train others.
- Quality Control analysis experience.
- Ability to communicate and work with others effectively.
- Performing general physical activities such as standing, bending, pushing, pulling, grasping and lifting.
Morris Packaging is proud to offer competitive pay, a fantastic comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay is $19/hour (plus $2.00 shift differential) with additional pay opportunities based on machine certifications.
