FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER

Accepting applications for a full charge bookkeeper through General Ledger. This is a fulltime, benefitted 40 hour a week position,

Monday-Friday, 8-5, with occasional overtime after hours or on a Saturday. This is not a remote position. This position will interact with employees, customers, vendors and delivery personnel on a daily basis. Business is Morton’s Supply, Inc., Yakima, WA 98901.

Must be able to work without supervision to complete all tasks, assist and supervise others in their work. This position will : monitor bank accounts, make daily deposits, record cash receipts, checkbooks and spreadsheets. Reconcile bank statements monthly.  Review daily timecards for mistakes, input benefit hours, process payroll twice a month. (Payroll training will be provided by ADP).

Accounts Payable – match invoices to purchase orders, cost code invoices, enter in computer. Weekly – pay vendors. Assist with Accounts Receivable; make credit account calls when delinquent. Assist with paperwork in Purchasing when purchasing agent is out.

Balance cash receipts monthly, create sales journal worksheet; pay Department of Revenue sales tax, use tax and B&O taxes monthly. Quarterly fill Labor & Industries report by pulling hour and wage info from payroll registers.

Monthly – create spreadsheets for Cash Disbursements, Cash Receipts, Payroll, Sales Journal, COGS, petty cash and general journal, enter in computer, make sure all balances, print reports, send reports to corporate.

Assist with data entry of physical count sheets for cyclical inventories done September-December each year.
