Salary range for this position is $21.00 - $26.50 / Hour.

What You'll Do

  • Provides group facilitation/psychoeducation of evidenced based curriculum to participants of Cedar House life Change Center perinatal program Maple House
  • Provides coverage for clinical groups as needed
  • Documentation of all group notes within required timelines
  • Assist Primary Perinatal Counselor with all duties as needed to include assessments, individual sessions, and care coordination
  • Assist Perinatal Support Specialist with duties as needed.
  • Maintain current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Enforce all house rules and regulations as needed.
  • Must safeguard residents and visitor’s welfare at all times.
  • Pursue additional status/level advancement whenever possible.
  • Maintain current professional registration/certification.
  • Continue to acquire and update knowledge and skills necessary to address chemical dependency and related counseling issues.
  • Other duties and/or responsibilities as are assigned.

Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • Understanding of the nature of alcohol/drug addiction and recovery process.
  • Completed twelve years of education or have GED.
  • Agree to enroll and complete a drug studies certificate program.
  • Will have 5 years to become certified or must be registered upon hire under an accredited drug and alcohol certification program.
  • Ability to address stressful situations in a calm manner and be able to communicate in a positive way.
  • Maintain current Adult CPR/First Aid/AED
  • Maintain current certification and/or registration with CAADE or CCAPP.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Resourcefulness and strong problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time. They will also need to move around inside the office occasionally to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee must be capable of operating a computer and other office productivity machinery. There may be occasions where the employee needs to climb up or down a ladder or equipment and position themselves to maintain files in file cabinets. It is essential for the employee to communicate information and ideas clearly so that others can understand. They must also be able to provide accurate information in these situations. The employee should be able to observe details at close range and occasionally move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds for various reasons. Additionally, the employee may need to work around or be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
