Responsibilities :
- Design and develop undersea communication systems with a focus on analog power and mixed-signal circuits. Qualifications :
- Education :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience. Clearance Requirements :
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance. Experience and Skills :
- Expertise in electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit design and analysis.
- Proficient in circuit design, analog design, instrumentation, and feedback / control systems.
- Experience with power system architecture, grounding, isolated switching converters, and transmission line effects in power systems.
- Knowledge of EMI testing and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC, VDE).
- Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other specialized lab equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose failures sequentially through circuit components and troubleshoot complex electronic systems.
- Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for electronic systems and components.
- Research and development (R&D) experience, with proficiency in circuit card design, testing, and analysis.
- Preferred Skills :
- Experience with high-voltage DC power systems, power electronics, and HVDC technology, including power converters ranging from a few watts to kilowatts.
- Magnetics and high-speed design experience.
